Tell me more…As a Clin­i­cal Nurse Con­sul­tant, you are the clin­i­cal lead in the pri­ma­ry health care set­ting, work­ing in part­ner­ship with the Indige­nous Health Work­ers, and pro­vid­ing pri­ma­ry health care and chron­ic dis­ease man­age­ment as well as emer­gency care.

To be suc­cess­ful in this role you will have:

• Com­mit­ment to a frame­work of ongo­ing learn­ing and devel­op­ment of self and the pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment of oth­ers in the deliv­ery of qual­i­ty nurs­ing care.
• Advanced lev­el of under­stand­ing of the Abo­rig­i­nal and Tor­res Strait Islander culture.
• Abil­i­ty to show sta­bil­i­ty, flex­i­bil­i­ty and adapt­abil­i­ty while mov­ing around mul­ti­ple com­mu­ni­ties in light aircraft.

Require­ments for the role:

• Par­tic­i­pate in an on-call ros­ter as applicable.
• This posi­tion requires the incum­bent to oper­ate a patient retrieval vehi­cle (4WD) which requires a C Class Dri­vers Licence. An appro­pri­ate licence endorse­ment to oper­ate this type of vehi­cle is required. Proof of this endorse­ment must be pro­vid­ed before com­mence­ment of duty.
• Trav­el across the TCHHS will be a require­ment of this posi­tion in com­mer­cial and/​or light air­craft and 4WD vehicles.
