The Clin­i­cal Nurse demon­strates clin­i­cal lead­er­ship and man­age­ment qual­i­ties in the pro­vi­sion of qual­i­ty, cost effec­tive, patient cen­tred nurs­ing care in con­sul­ta­tion with oth­er mem­bers of the pri­ma­ry health care (PHC) team and in accor­dance with the Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Australia’s Nation­al com­pe­ten­cy stan­dards for the reg­is­tered nurse. They pro­vide best prac­tise nurs­ing care in the assess­ment and treat­ment of patients to pro­mote, main­tain and improve their health, func­tion­al abil­i­ty and qual­i­ty of life. 

The Clin­i­cal Nurse (CN) is to assist in the pro­vi­sion of com­pre­hen­sive Pri­ma­ry Health Care and Acute Care ser­vices to the com­mu­ni­ties of the South­ern PHCCs. The pri­ma­ry respon­si­bil­i­ties of these roles are to pro­vide care that is appro­pri­ate and acces­si­ble to mem­bers of the public.

Remu­ner­a­tion val­ue up to $112,691 p.a., com­pris­ing salary between $92,239 — $98,769 p.a., employ­er con­tri­bu­tion to super­an­nu­a­tion (up to 12.75%) and annu­al leave load­ing (17.5%) (NRG6) (Appli­ca­tions will remain cur­rent for the dura­tion of the vacan­cy).
