Learning and Development Coordinator

Full-time permanent position based in Cairns

Although less than twelve months old, our Learning & Development team already has a track record of supporting and fostering a culture of growth and development, strengthening our workforce’s professional practice and skills, and it’s capability to deliver culturally appropriate, safe and contemporary services.

This role will provide effective and consistent administrative support as part of the Learning and Development team, including the coordination of training related activities for the organisation. The successful candidate will have qualifications in a Certificate III in Business Administration (or willingness to undertake study) or equivalent experience, and hold a current QLD driver’s licence.

The role will require a minimum of two years’ experience in an administrative role in a service focussed setting, preferably in an Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander work environment as well as demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and diversity of circumstances, particularly with respect to the people of Cape York.

The successful candidate will also have effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively within a multicultural workforce setting, and be proficient in utilising Microsoft Office suite.
