Sustain Health Recruitment is currently seeking a Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to be accountable for a Mental Health Ward in a busy private hospital along Coastal NSW. The role will be focused on clinical direction, leadership and management, as well as the day to day running of a 37 bed, newly expanded ward. The Role:

  • Hospital covers Surgical, Rehab, Medical and Mental Health
  • 37 bed mental health ward
  • Work with an experienced team of nurses and AHP’s
  • A well supported role
  • Manage 20 direct reports
  • Mental Health includes the ward and Day Program


  • Attractive remuneration package - NUM Level 1-3
  • Paying up to $121,030 + Super
  • Monday to Friday role
  • Relocation package may be available

About You:

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of Accreditation Standards
  • Previous experience in staff performance and risk management
  • Post graduate qualifications in Mental Health or Management or Change Management
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an acute mental health unit
  • Experience in change management skills is desirable
  • Experience as an ANUM or NUM is required


  • Have full registration with AHPRA
  • Be happy to undertake a full Police Clearance certification and/or WWCC
  • Have the right to live and work in Australia for the duration of your contract
