Sus­tain­Health Recruit­ment is cur­rent­ly seek­ing a Nurse Unit Man­ag­er (NUM) to be account­able for a Men­tal Health Ward in a busy pri­vate hos­pi­tal along Coastal NSW.

The role will be focused on clin­i­cal direc­tion, lead­er­ship and man­age­ment, as well as the day to day run­ning of a 37 bed, new­ly expand­ed ward.

  • Hos­pi­tal cov­ers Sur­gi­cal, Rehab, Med­ical and Men­tal Health 
  • 37 bed men­tal health ward
  • Work with an expe­ri­enced team of nurs­es and AHP’s
  • A well sup­port­ed role 
  • Man­age 20 direct reports 
  • Men­tal Health includes the ward and Day Program

About You:

  • Have a com­pre­hen­sive under­stand­ing of Accred­i­ta­tion Standards
  • Pre­vi­ous expe­ri­ence in staff per­for­mance and risk management
  • Post grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tions in Men­tal Health or Man­age­ment or Change Management
  • Min­i­mum of 3 years’ expe­ri­ence in an acute men­tal health unit
  • Expe­ri­ence in change man­age­ment skills is desirable
  • Expe­ri­ence as an ANUM or NUM is required

Require­ments:

  • Have full reg­is­tra­tion with AHPRA
  • Be hap­py to under­take a full Police Clear­ance cer­ti­fi­ca­tion and/​or WWCC 
  • Have the right to live and work in Aus­tralia for the dura­tion of your contract
