Tell me more… The Clin­i­cal Nurse demon­strates clin­i­cal lead­er­ship and man­age­ment qual­i­ties in the pro­vi­sion of qual­i­ty, cost effec­tive, patient/​client/​resident cen­tred nurs­ing care in con­sul­ta­tion with oth­er mem­bers of the health care team and in accor­dance with the Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­trali­a’s Nation­al com­pe­ten­cy stan­dards for the reg­is­tered nurse.

To be suc­cess­ful in this role you will have:

• Demon­strate knowl­edge of rel­e­vant leg­is­la­tion includ­ing Health and Hos­pi­tals Net­work Act, Work­place Health and Safe­ty Act, and Equal Employ­ment Oppor­tu­ni­ty Leg­is­la­tion, Aged Care Qual­i­ty and Safe­ty Com­mis­sion and oth­er rel­e­vant legislation.
• Demon­strates under­stand­ing and knowl­edge of the Abo­rig­i­nal and Tor­res Strait Islander Culture.
• Abil­i­ty to pro­vide high lev­el of nurs­ing and clin­i­cal lead­er­ship across the mul­ti-dis­ci­pli­nary team that reflects the high­est pos­si­ble stan­dards of rel­e­vant leg­is­la­tion and con­tem­po­rary mod­els of prac­tice which includes qual­i­ty improve­ment, nurs­ing research and pro­fes­sion­al development.
