The CRANAplus BLS program is designed to provide a flexible learning opportunity.
Who is this course for?
It is ideally suited for all health professionals practicing in remote and isolated context who require BLS skill set. If you are unsure if this course is suitable for you please contact our team to discuss your needs.
This program is accredited by both ACRRM and RACGP.
There are two components to be completed to receive a CRANAplus Basic Life Support Certificate
- An online theory module & multiple-choice assessment
- An individual scenario based practical assessment
Online Module Outline
- Legal and ethical considerations
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Post resuscitation care
The individual scenario based practical assessment can be completed with an approved external assessor or via Zoom with a CRANAplus staff member. The responsibility to organise the required documentation, equipment and venue for your assessment sits with you. Guidance and support if required can be obtained from CRANAplus by submitting an enquiry.
An external assessor must be approved by a member of the CRANAplus team prior to completing a participant’s assessment. The assessor must hold a current BLS certificate and provide evidence to the CRANAplus team of their education qualification (for example a current Cert IV in Training & Assessment, post-graduate qualification in adult education or a CV of evidence in a current Educator role).
Please note that if you are using an external assessor they must be approved by a CRANAplus staff member prior to the assessment. The proposed assessor needs to submit evidence of qualifications as outlined above prior to undertaking the assessment.

- A CRANAplus Basic Life Support (Adult, Child & Infant) certificate (Valid for one year)
I loved being able to do the theory online, in my own time and then do the practical via Skype. It was far less time-consuming and also more enjoyable this way.
