The CRANAplus BLS pro­gram is designed to pro­vide a flex­i­ble learn­ing opportunity. 

Who is this course for?

Pro­gram delivery

There are two com­po­nents to be com­plet­ed to receive a CRANAplus Basic Life Sup­port Certificate

  • An online the­o­ry mod­ule & mul­ti­ple-choice assessment
  • An indi­vid­ual sce­nario based prac­ti­cal assessment

Prac­ti­cal Assessment

The indi­vid­ual sce­nario based prac­ti­cal assess­ment can be com­plet­ed with an approved exter­nal asses­sor or via Zoom with a CRANAplus staff mem­ber. The respon­si­bil­i­ty to organ­ise the required doc­u­men­ta­tion, equip­ment and venue for your assess­ment sits with you. Guid­ance and sup­port if required can be obtained from CRANAplus by sub­mit­ting an enquiry.

An exter­nal asses­sor must be approved by a mem­ber of the CRANAplus team pri­or to com­plet­ing a participant’s assess­ment. The asses­sor must hold a cur­rent BLS cer­tifi­cate and pro­vide evi­dence to the CRANAplus team of their edu­ca­tion qual­i­fi­ca­tion (for exam­ple a cur­rent Cert IV in Train­ing & Assess­ment, post-grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tion in adult edu­ca­tion or a CV of evi­dence in a cur­rent Edu­ca­tor role).

Please note that if you are using an exter­nal asses­sor they must be approved by a CRANAplus staff mem­ber pri­or to the assess­ment. The pro­posed asses­sor needs to sub­mit evi­dence of qual­i­fi­ca­tions as out­lined above pri­or to under­tak­ing the assessment.

On suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion par­tic­i­pants will be awarded:

  • A CRANAplus Basic Life Sup­port (Adult, Child & Infant) cer­tifi­cate (Valid for one year)
