CRANAplus Welcomes the Apology to Australia’s Indigenous Peoples
CRANAplus is eager to work with the Federal Government as we all address the inadequacies in health, housing and education for Indigenous people.
“The setting of targets is a great step. Enough is enough, it’s time we work with communities to Close the Gap” said Christopher Cliffe, President of CRANAplus.
Vice President of CRANAplus, Associate Professor Sue Kildea states that “Remote area nurses and midwives know only too well that if the next steps are not led by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people themselves then the efforts will be wasted. However, we have an extraordinary opportunity to make a difference and we are keen to get started.”
Using the knowledge and expertise of members already working in remote locations, CRANAplus looks forward to its pivotal role in the steps ahead.
