Christopher Cliffe Resigns from President Role
Christopher has been at the helm of the organisation over the last seven years during which time CRANAplus experienced significant growth.
He helped lead CRANAplus through constitutional changes to reflect the changing nature of remote health, a complex fiscal environment and a variety of political challenges.
“I have been truly honoured to have been entrusted with this role by the members of CRANAplus for so long,” he said. “I am thrilled by all we have been able to achieve, and the dedication and professionalism of the CRANAplus Board Members, Staff and Members both past and present have been truly inspirational.”
He added: ”I have lots of other professional commitments and interests that I am keen to expend my energy on, so I’m pleased that I will remain heavily involved within the remote health industry and the nursing profession.”
Christopher will continue as the CRANAplus representative and Deputy Chairperson for CoNNO (Coalition of National Nursing Organisations).
Carole Taylor, CEO of CRANAplus said: “It has been great working with Christopher, and I thank him for all of the time he has volunteered over the years to CRANAplus. His commitment to remote health has always been unwavering and I’m sure I speak on behalf of our Industry in wishing him all the best in his future endeavours.”
“I also look forward to working with Mr Paul Stephenson, who will be the President until our next AGM in September where the position will be elected by the membership.”
“We have a strong team to continue to provide leadership and we are grateful that Mr Cliffe will remain on the governing board as a general member until the AGM in September to help provide stability during this transition period.”
