Mind­ful­ness is an impor­tant focus in cur­rent psy­cho­log­i­cal think­ing. The rea­son for the inter­est in mind­ful­ness is because of the increas­ing vol­ume of research find­ings that it is an extreme­ly effec­tive way to reduc­ing stress. More­over, a reg­u­lar prac­tice of mind­ful­ness increas­es self-aware­ness and allows indi­vid­u­als the oppor­tu­ni­ty to deal with neg­a­tive thoughts and feelings.

Mind­ful­ness strate­gies involve focussing in on present expe­ri­ence. Curios­i­ty rather than crit­i­cal judge­ment is the key ele­ment. A reg­u­lar mind­ful prac­tice builds emo­tion­al and psy­cho­log­i­cal resilience. It enhances over­all sat­is­fac­tion with home and work life.
