As a member of the multidisciplinary Primary and Public Health Care Outreach Team, you will promote and improve the health of children and families in remote Aboriginal communities of Central Australia and Barkly Regions, through strategic, comprehensive, evidenced based child and family health clinical leadership.

As a mem­ber of the mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary Pri­ma­ry and Pub­lic Health Care Out­reach Team, you will pro­mote and improve the health of chil­dren and fam­i­lies in remote Abo­rig­i­nal com­mu­ni­ties of Cen­tral Aus­tralia and Bark­ly Regions, through strate­gic, com­pre­hen­sive, evi­denced based child and fam­i­ly health clin­i­cal lead­er­ship. Eli­gi­bil­i­ty to hold an NT driver’s licence, will­ing and able to trav­el to remote areas on a reg­u­lar basis by road, light plane and to stay for up to a week is required.

You will be a reg­is­tered nurse hold­ing a cur­rent cer­tifi­cate of reg­is­tra­tion with the Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­tralia. Addi­tion­al­ly you will have demon­strat­ed advanced knowl­edge, skills and expe­ri­ence in child and fam­i­ly health and a readi­ness to pro­mote a learn­ing envi­ron­ment through clin­i­cal sup­port, instruc­tion, and feed­back includ­ing men­tor­ing stu­dents, grad­u­ates and less expe­ri­enced staff.
