Department of Health are seeking applications for the role Registered Nurse – Community to work in Smithton, Tasmania.

Smithton District Hospital (SDH) and Community Health Centre is small sized sub-acute public hospital located in Smithton Tasmania. It services the whole Circular Head region with a catchment population of 8000 people.
The Hospital has 12 subacute beds accommodating general medicine, post-acute, palliative and end of life care. We have a 3‑bay emergency first response unit staffed by nurses and General Practitioners who are contracted to provide on call medical services.
Smithton Community Nursing provide a 7 day a week service to clients in their own home plus a clinic service.
Details of Appointment
Permanent Part Time Shift-Worker position working 32 hours per fortnight
Salary: $66,421-$91,807 pro-rata per annum + 10% superannuation + access to salary packaging
The Registered Nurse – Community:
- Consistent with ongoing experience strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals within the defined community practice area.
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Pre-employment Checks.
