About the position
As the Director of Operations, Rural and Remote Health (RRH), you will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic and operational direction for the delivery of professional support services to students and staff in the Discipline of RRH. You will lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams to provide cohesive and consistent customer service, including the development and delivery of a customer service strategy, customer experience design, operating model design, and operational improvement.
As an integral member of the Rural and Remote Health leadership team, you will also help deliver the strategic and operational requirements of the discipline. This will involve operating within a dynamic matrix management environment, making high level significant contributions to the further development and local implementation of regional and national strategies, frameworks, standards, and initiatives to drive and strengthen a consistent service for the program and activities delivered in RRH, and consistent with the Rural and Remote Health Strategy 2020.
This position is located at one of the Flinders University Rural and Remote Health Campuses in the Northern Territory (NT) or South Australia (SA), including Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine, Mt Gambier, Renmark, Victor Harbor, Murray Bridge, and the Barossa Valley.

Prescribed Conditions for Employment
Northern Territory Government legislation (the Care and Protection of Children Act 2007) now requires all individuals in child related employment or whose duties involve, or are likely to involve, contact with a child, to hold a valid ‘Working with Children Clearance’ (Ochre Card). This position involves child related work and is assessed as requiring a Working with Children Clearance/Ochre Card.
Pursuant to Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA) this position has been deemed prescribed. It is an inherent requirement of the position that the successful candidate maintains a current Working with Children Check which is satisfactory to the University.
A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
