This posi­tions offers a career chang­ing oppor­tu­ni­ty for an expe­ri­enced Mid­wife to work with a dynam­ic team focussed on improv­ing the health of women and their fam­i­lies in a cul­tur­al­ly unique environment.

The out­reach clin­i­cal Mid­wife pro­vides mid­wifery care to remote women, par­tic­u­lar­ly Abo­rig­i­nal women, in remote com­mu­ni­ties with­in the Bark­ly region as part of a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team. The posi­tion may also be required to pro­vide mid­wifery relief to oth­er regions on occasion. 

Expe­ri­ence dri­ving a man­u­al vehi­cle and a cur­rent NT man­u­al dri­ver’s licence and a will­ing­ness and abil­i­ty to trav­el by road or light air­craft to remote com­mu­ni­ties for nego­ti­at­ed peri­ods is required to ful­fil the inher­ent respon­si­bil­i­ties of this role”.
