This posi­tion offers an excit­ing career chang­ing oppor­tu­ni­ty for an expe­ri­enced Mid­wife to work with a dynam­ic team of Out­reach Mid­wives, Child and Fam­i­ly Health Nurs­es, Dia­betes Edu­ca­tors, Allied Health, Pri­ma­ry Health Care Nurs­es and Abo­rig­i­nal Health Work­ers who are focussed on improv­ing the mater­nal health of women liv­ing in a cul­tur­al­ly unique envi­ron­ment. The chal­lenge of this posi­tion is to pro­vide out­reach clin­i­cal care to women in a range of com­mu­ni­ties and coor­di­nate con­ti­nu­ity of care for women mov­ing between remote and acute care services. 

The suc­cess­ful appli­cant must have expe­ri­ence dri­ving a man­u­al vehi­cle with eli­gi­bil­i­ty to obtain an NT Driver’s licence and be will­ing and able to trav­el to remote areas on a reg­u­lar basis by road, light plane and to stay for up to a week as required.
