Tasmanian Health Service is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Emergency Department of the Launceston Hospital.

The Launceston General Hospital:
The Launceston General Hospital (LGH) is the major referral hospital in Northern Tasmania.
Emergency Department (ED) is a fast-paced and energetic environment providing an exceptional standard of care to patients through a 42-cubicle space ED consisting of Fast Track, Emergency Medical Unit, Acute and Subacute Areas.
The nursing team consists of Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Clinical Nurse Educators and a broad range of Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses.
LGH ED have implemented Clinical Coaches, to support the development of staff, and have ongoing progression pathways into Resuscitation areas, Triage and Clinical Initiative Nurse (CIN) roles.
The broader ED team includes 14 FACEMS, 18 Registrars and 20 Junior Medical Officers, supported by an Allied Health Team including Pharmacists, a Hospital Aged care Liaison Team and dedicated Support Officers and ancillary staff.
The ED offers its Nursing staff a comprehensive education programme facilitated by Clinical Nurse Educators. Further to this we offer a 6 month Introductory to Emergency Program to Nursing staff. This program provides supported advanced training and education to develop staff. Upon successful completion and in conjunction with the University of Tasmania, Nurses will be eligible for recognition of prior learning for post graduate studies in Emergency Nursing.
Details of Appointment
Permanent full time shift work (fully rotational), position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 1 January 2023.

Salary: $128,929 per annum + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
