Northern Territory Health is establishing a dynamic new team to support both acute and primary health care needs of the remote communities in the Thamarrurr region.

Recruit­ing Nurs­es Now to Thamar­rurr Region on the Daly Riv­er, North­ern Ter­ri­to­ry, Wad­eye, Pep­pi­me­nar­ti, Palumpa and Nauiyu.

North­ern Ter­ri­to­ry Health is estab­lish­ing a dynam­ic new team to sup­port both acute and pri­ma­ry health care needs of the remote com­mu­ni­ties in the Thamar­rurr region.

Seek­ing expe­ri­enced nurs­es who under­stand the chal­lenges that accom­pa­ny work­ing and liv­ing with­in a remote socio/​economic envi­ron­ment whilst pro­vid­ing health care.

All lev­els of nurs­ing expe­ri­ence are strong­ly encour­aged to apply for a min­i­mum 6 month con­tract up to a max­i­mum 2 years.

Your exper­tise in nurs­ing will be essen­tial for safe care deliv­ery in a dynam­ic and chang­ing envi­ron­ment while work­ing in a team envi­ron­ment to improve the social deter­mi­nants of health in the area. Clin­i­cal gov­er­nance with well-estab­lished poli­cies and pro­ce­dures enable a safe work­ing envi­ron­ment to pro­vide acute and pri­ma­ry health care needs.

This is a unique oppor­tu­ni­ty to be part of a vital ser­vice, sup­port­ed by our expe­ri­enced med­ical team, a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team of allied health pro­fes­sion­als and Vis­it­ing Spe­cial­ist with addi­tion­al Med­ical retrieval sup­port­ed through the Care flight service.

Free hous­ing with all util­i­ties, freight allowance, air­flight enti­tle­ments, 6 weeks hol­i­day leave per year and relo­ca­tion expenses.
