We are seeking applications from enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurses that are wanting to expand their nursing skills and knowledge, within our Paediatric Unit.

The role:

Supports the Nurse Unit Manager and/or Clinical Coordinator in the coordination of patient/client care delivery on a shift-by-shift basis through the effective allocation and prioritising of nursing resources.
Actively participates in clinical education, safety and quality processes, practice development and other clinical leadership activities.
Assists the Nurse Unit Manager in supporting and guiding staff performance and development.
Manages a clinical portfolio and contributes to research and other practice development activities within the practice area.
The team:
The Paediatric Unit at the NWRH is a 16-bed unit; we are the only acute paediatric inpatient facility on the NW coast and provide care to infants, children, and adolescents through to 18 years of age.
The unit caters for a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions. With a strong belief in a multidisciplinary team approach, the paediatric team actively involves Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Occupational Therapists, Pharmacists, Speech Pathologists and Social Workers in the delivery of family-based care.

Details of Appointment
Permanent / Fixed term, full time / part time shift work, position working up to 76 hours per fortnight commencing ASAP
Salary: $67, 982 — $93, 964 per annum + 10% superannuation + access to salary packaging You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration
