SONOGRAPHER/RADIOGRAPHER — NORFOLK ISLAND
Norfolk Island Health and Residential Aged Care Services (NIHRACS) is committed to improving the care provided to our patients in line with our vision of working together to improve the health and wellbeing of our community. NIHRACS is a multipurpose service including a General Practice Clinic, Outpatients, Emergency Service, 6 Acute beds and 10 Residential Aged Care Beds. The service operates from a combined small hospital/GP clinic setting within a multipurpose service model.
The successful applicant will have a role in working with other health care professionals to achieve positive outcomes in overall levels of health and well-being in the community. This is a temporary full time 12 month position (35 hours per week).
SELECTION CRITERIA:

Holder of Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography or equivalent.

Hold current ASAR registration and accreditation.

Demonstrated extensive experience in Paediatric, musculo-skeletal, small part and general sonography.

Demonstrated use of effective communication skills, ability to provide a quality service to all levels of personnel and customers.

Demonstrate clinical reasoning skills in the performance of sonographic procedures.

Possession of registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency for Medical Radiation Practice Board Possession of registration as Medical Radiation Practitioner with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

Possess the appropriate E.P.A. I‑14 radiation license to use irradiating equipment for medical diagnostic radiation.

Demonstrated understanding of the challenges involved in working in a remote area.
Current driver’s licence.
