Aboriginal Health Practitioner, Identified Position

We are currently looking for an Aboriginal Health Practitioner (Male or Female) to join Anyinginyi, an organisation enacting real change to close the gap in Aboriginal Health outcomes.
- Salary range: $85,704 — $90,273
- 6 weeks annual leave

About the Role…
This role will primarily work to address health care needs for Aboriginal people living in Anyinginyi’s four remote community service delivery areas (Wogyala, Corella Creek, Mungkarta and Nuramin).
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Triage and support Aboriginal and Torres clients in remote communities
- Respond promptly to all emergency health care needs
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
- Conduct assessments, immunisations and treatments, including telehealth where required
- Education and Health promotion
Contribute to clinical reports and research activities - Work to improve engagement and access by Aboriginal clients living in remote communities to health services

To achieve our goal, we employ over 100 people across a diverse range of roles in each of our key sections of Health Services, Public Health, Stronger Families and Corporate Services.
About You…
- Registered to practice as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner (minimum Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice) and have current AHPRA registration
- Evidenced understanding of the Primary Health Care system
- Ability to communicate sensitively and culturally appropriate
- Certification to vaccinate in the NT or ability to achieve this
- Respect for and responsiveness to Aboriginal culture and protocols
- Experience facilitating clinical education
- Current Driver’s licence
- OCHRE Card (Working with Children) or the ability to apply
- Be fully Covid-19 vaccinated
