Department of Health (DoH) are seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Stomal Therapy/Inflammatory Bowel Disease for the Mersey Community Hospital.
Permanent, part time, day worker position working 72 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP
The Clinical Nurse Consultant — Stomal Therapy (ST)/Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) will provide expert clinical advice and clinical leadership in ostomy management, ST and IBD management and support and will:
- Function as an advanced clinical practitioner within stomal therapy and inflammatory bowel disease services.
- Provide direct care, advisory, support and educational services within the Mersey Community Hospital, and as required, to external health care providers.
The Mersey Community Hospital, Latrobe has 95 beds and offers general and specialist health services including 24 hour emergency department, general medicine day surgery and endoscopy, rehabilitation, palliative care and oncology services along with a variety of specialist clinics. Mersey Community hospital is a dedicated elective surgery centre and provides a mixture of general hospital services. The hospital has close ties with the University of Tasmania through the Rural Clinical School and with TAFE Tasmania thus providing opportunities for comprehensive clinical training programs.

Salary: $104,735 — $111,334 per annum (pro rata) + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
