The Enrolled Nurse pro­vides direct patient/​client cen­tred nurs­ing care to assigned patients/​clients, with­in the scope of prac­tice of an enrolled nurse and under the direc­tion and super­vi­sion of a reg­is­tered nurse/​midwife to achieve patient-cen­tred outcomes.

With a pop­u­la­tion of approx­i­mate­ly 1600 peo­ple King Island is based in the Bass Strait between Vic­to­ria and north­west coast of Tas­ma­nia, and is well-known for world class cheese, fresh seafood, very clean air, and incred­i­ble surf­ing and golf. The Hos­pi­tal is locat­ed in Cur­rie which is King Island’s largest town and admin­is­tra­tive centre.

King Island Hos­pi­tal & Health Cen­tre has four acute care beds, a pal­lia­tive room with adjoin­ing fam­i­ly room, two emer­gency rooms, Treat­ment room, out­pa­tients con­sult­ing rooms, 14 per­ma­nent res­i­den­tial aged care beds pro­vid­ing high, low and respite care.

Mul­ti­ple Per­ma­nent full time and part time shift-work­er posi­tions are avail­able work­ing up to 76 hours per fort­night com­menc­ing as soon as possible

Salary: $66,811 — $69,835 per annum pro rata + 11% super­an­nu­a­tion + access to salary packaging

• Dis­trict Allowances of up to $2385.25 per annum for a family 
• Remote and Rur­al Pro­fes­sion­al Devel­op­ment Allowance of $3,533 per annum and an addi­tion­al salary allowance of 10% 
• Post Grad­u­ate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qual­i­fi­ca­tion type
• Pro­fes­sion­al Devel­op­ment Allowance of up to $500 per annum (for over 30.4 hours, $125 for under)

1. Reg­is­tered with the Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­tralia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qual­i­fi­ca­tion in admin­is­tra­tion of medicines
