In this role you will be expect­ed to pro­vide clin­i­cal lead­er­ship coor­di­nat­ing edu­ca­tion, train­ing and men­tor­ship by sup­port­ing staff with­in a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team in a pri­ma­ry health care set­ting that oper­ates 7 days per week offer­ing shift work oppor­tu­ni­ties. Also, pro­mote, devel­op and imple­ment clin­i­cal best prac­tice in line with NT Health poli­cies and pro­ce­dures con­sis­tent with and com­pli­ment rel­e­vant NT Cor­rec­tion­al Ser­vice direc­tives and NT Police Watch House Orders at the Alice Springs Cor­rec­tion­al Cen­tre (ASCC) and Police Watch House (PWH).

You will be a reg­is­tered nurse hold­ing a cur­rent cer­tifi­cate of reg­is­tra­tion with the Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­tralia. Addi­tion­al­ly, you will have a demon­strat­ed under­stand­ing of issues affect­ing Abo­rig­i­nal health and the prin­ci­ples of Pri­ma­ry Health Care. All enquires are welcome.
