Pro­vide a recog­nised ref­er­ence point for the mul­ti-dis­ci­pli­nary team in rela­tion to assess­ment, plan­ning, review, eval­u­a­tion and coor­di­na­tion of ser­vice deliv­ery in a defined prac­tice area for groups and indi­vid­u­als with diverse require­ments. Employ­ing exten­sive expe­ri­ence, skills and knowl­edge and hold­ing cur­rent vac­ci­na­tion, remote emer­gency, and mater­ni­ty emer­gency man­age­ment cer­ti­fi­ca­tion, the suc­cess­ful appli­cant will hold a demon­strat­ed under­stand­ing of issues affect­ing Abo­rig­i­nal health, prin­ci­ples of Pri­ma­ry Health Care and rel­e­vant leg­is­la­tion gov­ern­ing work prac­tice in the remote set­ting and will be respon­si­ble for the oper­a­tional and per­son­nel man­age­ment of a Remote Health Centre. 

Appli­cants will be required to have expe­ri­ence dri­ving a man­u­al vehi­cle and be eli­gi­ble to obtain a NT dri­vers Licence, trav­el via 4WD or light air­craft to remote com­mu­ni­ties across Top End Region of the North­ern Ter­ri­to­ry and par­tic­i­pate in a 24/7 emer­gency on call ros­ter with the abil­i­ty to pro­vide relief in oth­er remote sites at short notice.
