As per mer­it selec­tion prin­ci­ples, an applicant’s suit­abil­i­ty for this vacan­cy will be deter­mined hav­ing regard to their knowl­edge, skills, qual­i­fi­ca­tions and expe­ri­ence, and poten­tial for future devel­op­ment. Whilst a post­grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tion is an essen­tial require­ment for ongo­ing appoint­ment to this vacan­cy, all appli­cants will be assessed. If the most suit­able appli­cant does not hold the qual­i­fi­ca­tion they may be appoint­ed on a fixed term basis with ongo­ing appoint­ment sub­ject to them attain­ing the qual­i­fi­ca­tion dur­ing the fixed term period.

In this role you will be expect­ed to employ your exten­sive pri­ma­ry health care expe­ri­ence, skills and knowl­edge. The suc­cess­ful appli­cant will pro­vide expert clin­i­cal lead­er­ship and sup­port to a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team to achieve opti­mal patient out­comes in line with the Pri­ma­ry & Pub­lic Health Care strate­gic and oper­a­tional busi­ness plans. The posi­tion is based at the Alice Springs Cor­rec­tion­al Cen­tre Health Clin­ic which oper­ates 7 days per week offer­ing shift work opportunities.
