Spinifex Health Service are looking for a RAN for a 2 RAN post in Tjuntjuntjara Community, Spinifex Lands, Kalgoorlie WA.

his is a Casu­al or Per­ma­nent full time work arrangement. 

The Role:

  • 2 RAN post in Tjun­tjun­t­jara, WA , requir­ing a RAN to start immediately. 
  • This oppor­tu­ni­ty is for Casu­al or Per­ma­nent work arrange­ments — Full time Mon­day to Friday
  • Base pay is $129,000.00 F/T based on work­ing 6 weeks on 2 weeks off
  • Casu­al rate = Base rate +20%
  • Return flight costs covered
  • Ful­ly sub­sidised accom­mo­da­tion avail­able, and internet
  • 80 – 100 com­mu­ni­ty population


Expe­ri­ence & Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of expe­ri­ence as a RAN
  • Cur­rent reg­is­tra­tion with the Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Australia.
  • A cur­rent West­ern Aus­tralian Work­ing with Chil­dren Check.
  • A Nation­al Police Clear­ance (not more than 2 years old).
  • A min­i­mum of three years full-time broad-based nurs­ing expe­ri­ence, includ­ing A&E experience.
  • Demon­strat­ed remote Abo­rig­i­nal nurs­ing experience.
  • Com­ple­tion of REC, BLS/ALS, phar­ma­cother­a­py courses.
  • Demon­strat­ed under­stand­ing of issues affect­ing Abo­rig­i­nal health, the prin­ci­ples of Pri­ma­ry Health Care and rel­e­vant leg­is­la­tion gov­ern­ing work practice.
  • Demon­strat­ed com­mit­ment to qual­i­ty improve­ment, evi­dence-based prac­tice, research, edu­ca­tion and pro­fes­sion­al development.
  • Famil­iar­i­ty with the CARPA Man­u­al and the Women’s Busi­ness Manual.
  • A com­pre­hen­sive under­stand­ing of best prac­tice for the man­age­ment and treat­ment of chron­ic dis­eases in Abo­rig­i­nal Communities.
  • A cur­rent man­u­al driver’s licence.
  • Aus­tralian cit­i­zen­ship, per­ma­nent res­i­dence sta­tus or appro­pri­ate work visa.
  • Recog­nised cur­rent Immu­ni­sa­tion course certificate/​training.
  • Some expe­ri­ence in social and emo­tion­al well­be­ing, men­tal health or alco­hol and drug counselling.
