What’s the role?

  • Con­duct­ing a range of clin­i­cal duties, with direc­tion from treat­ing HCPs, includ­ing pathol­o­gy col­lec­tion, vac­ci­na­tions, mon­i­tor­ing of ECG, wound dress­ings, change of linen, clean and ster­ilise equipment
  • Greet­ing and build­ing a rela­tion­ship with patients to cre­ate patient ease pri­or to pro­ce­dure or treat­ment; assist­ing HCPs in pro­ce­dures; set­ting up and clean­ing before and after treat­ments and triage of patients
  • Check­ing emer­gency trol­leys; ensur­ing treat­ment room is ful­ly stocked; restock­ing HCPs’ rooms; ensur­ing equip­ment is ful­ly main­tained and in work­ing order
  • Ensur­ing pro­ce­dures are con­duct­ed accu­rate­ly and to the lev­el required by HCPs includ­ing health assess­ments, prepa­ra­tion and review of care plans, effec­tive man­age­ment of patient reminder sys­tems and assist­ing with the man­age­ment of the annu­al dia­betes and asth­ma cycles of care

Is the role right for you?

  • Cur­rent reg­is­tra­tion, as a Reg­is­tered Nurse, with the Aus­tralian Health Prac­ti­tion­er Reg­u­la­tion Agency (AHPRA)
  • Min­i­mum 1 year expe­ri­ence in gen­er­al prac­tice or pri­ma­ry health care setting
  • Com­pe­tent in immu­ni­sa­tions of chil­dren and adults and con­duct­ing HHA and CDM assessments
  • Com­pe­tent in infec­tion con­trol and cold chain man­age­ment procedures
  • Excel­lent com­mu­ni­ca­tion and rela­tion­ship build­ing skills, and abil­i­ty to work autonomous­ly and as a strong team player
  • Cur­rent Police His­to­ry Check and NT Work­ing with Chil­dren Clear­ance (Ochre Card)
