Our client’s acute hospital service is seeking experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurses to provide focused care to patients in the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and Cardiac Day Ward in Canberra.

Our client’s acute hos­pi­tal ser­vice is seek­ing expe­ri­enced Car­diac Cath Lab Reg­is­tered Nurs­es to pro­vide focused care to patients in the Car­diac Catheter Lab­o­ra­to­ry and Car­diac Day Ward in Can­ber­ra.

About Posi­tion

The Car­diac Catheter Lab­o­ra­to­ry is a spe­cial­ty area that under­takes a range of car­diac pro­ce­dures. The two lab­o­ra­to­ries on site pro­vide a 24-hours ser­vice for patients with acute and chron­ic posi­tions. The ward also has a Day Pro­ce­dure Unit (Mon to Fri 0700 — 1800hrs) 

Reg­is­tered Nurs­es will be expect­ed to:

  • Prac­tice in accor­dance with the rel­e­vant legislation. 
  • Main­tain indi­vid­ual pro­fes­sion­al, par­tic­i­pate in area spe­cif­ic train­ing and con­tribute to a cul­ture of learn­ing in the Car­diac Catheter Laboratory.
  • Under­stands and prac­tices with­in own scope of practice.
  • Inte­grates nurs­ing and health care knowl­edge, skills, and atti­tudes to pro­vide safe and effec­tive nurs­ing care. 


Essen­tial Criteria 

  • Be registered/​eligible for reg­is­tra­tion as a Reg­is­tered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Min­i­mum 1 years’ expe­ri­ence work­ing pro­fes­sion­al­ly in acute hos­pi­tal setting.
  • Post reg­is­tra­tion expe­ri­ence in acute and/​or car­diac care. 
  • Avail­able for after-hours work if deemed necessary. 
  • Com­pe­ten­cy in Advanced Life Support.
