The Health Services Manager provides leadership, management, and coordination of comprehensive primary and population health care, ensuring cultural integrity and high standards of clinical care and client flow.

The posi­tion sits with­in the Health Ser­vices Sec­tion and leads a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team of Reg­is­tered Nurs­es, Doc­tors, Abo­rig­i­nal Health Prac­ti­tion­ers and Allied Health Pro­fes­sion­als. This full-time per­ma­nent posi­tion is based in Ramingin­ing, North­ern Territory.

Essen­tial Requirements

The Health Cen­tre Man­ag­er will be respon­si­ble for Pri­ma­ry Health Care oper­a­tions includ­ing clin­i­cal and per­son­nel man­age­ment to the PHC team. This role also pro­vides sup­port to Miwatj pro­gram inte­gra­tion and vis­it­ing health providers, ensure that the clin­ic oper­ates in a safe and effi­cient way and ensur­ing rel­e­vant leg­is­la­tion, guide­lines, safe­ty, and qual­i­ty stan­dards are adhered to by all staff.

Can­di­dates must have reg­is­tra­tion with AHPRA as a Reg­is­tered Nurse, min­i­mum of 5 years’ expe­ri­ence as a reg­is­tered nurse with a min­i­mum of 2 years’ expe­ri­ence work­ing in a remote or region­al com­mu­ni­ty and will also have an under­stand­ing of and com­mit­ment to Abo­rig­i­nal Com­mu­ni­ty Con­trol, self-deter­mi­na­tion, and the issues faced by Yolŋu peo­ple liv­ing in remote settings.
