We are seeking applications from Registered Nurses with experience in leadership and Palliative Care Services for the role of Nurse Unit Manager Specialist Palliative Care Service (SPCS)

The role:

We are seek­ing appli­ca­tions from Reg­is­tered Nurs­es with expe­ri­ence in lead­er­ship and Pal­lia­tive Care Ser­vices for the role of Nurse Unit Man­ag­er Spe­cial­ist Pal­lia­tive Care Ser­vice (SPCS)

The suc­cess­ful can­di­date will ensure the effi­cient and effec­tive pro­vi­sion of care, based on clin­i­cal stan­dards and best prac­tice prin­ci­ples with­in a col­lab­o­ra­tive and mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary frame­work by coor­di­nat­ing the clin­i­cal, man­age­ment, edu­ca­tion and nurs­ing research func­tions with­in the SPCS.

They will lead and man­age the coor­di­na­tion of over­all patient/​client care and will be respon­si­ble for man­ag­ing the allo­cat­ed human, mate­r­i­al and finan­cial resources for ser­vice deliv­ery with­in the SPCS

The Ser­vice

The North West Spe­cial­ist Pal­lia­tive Care Ser­vice is a com­mu­ni­ty based con­sul­ta­tive ser­vice, work­ing across hos­pi­tal, aged care and home set­tings. We are a diverse team, work­ing across diverse com­mu­ni­ties and land­scapes in north­west Tas­ma­nia. We ser­vice the main pop­u­la­tion cen­tres of Devon­port and Burnie, as well as tak­ing in the rugged land­scapes of the West Coast, King Island, Smith­ton and Sheffield.

Details of Appointment

Per­ma­nent, full-time, day work­er posi­tion work­ing 76 hours per fort­night, com­menc­ing as soon as you are avail­able to join our team.

Salary: $118,801 to $125,301 pro rata per annum. Our Employ­er 11% super­an­nu­a­tion con­tri­bu­tion is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary pack­age a range of ben­e­fits includ­ing liv­ing expens­es up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal enter­tain­ment each FBT year + oth­er ben­e­fits if eligible. 

In addi­tion, the fol­low­ing allowances cal­cu­lat­ed on the salaried incre­men­tal point may be available: 

  • Post Grad­u­ate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qual­i­fi­ca­tion type 
  • Pro­fes­sion­al Devel­op­ment Allowance of up to $500 per annum
  • Fur­ther range of con­di­tions and enti­tle­ments in accor­dance with the Nurs­es and Mid­wives (Tas­man­ian State Ser­vice Agree­ment) 2023
