Senior Project Officer

Mala’la Health Service is seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to lead the design, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of strategic projects to achieve our objectives in Maningrida.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience and or relevant qualifications in high-level project management, from sourcing funding, project consultation, design, implementation, monitoring, reviewing to reporting processes.
All successful applicants will have access to a range of benefits, including:
- Fully subsidised accommodation including utilities provided in Maningrida
- Attractive Salary of $90,000 — $100,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience
- 11.5% Superannuation
- Relocation Allowance available
- Retention Allowance
- Travel Allowance of $4,000 per year
- 6 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
- Ability to salary package up to $15,900 per annum, plus a further $2,650 per annum on Meals and Entertainment

About Mala’la
Mala’la Health Service is a respected & accredited Aboriginal Corporation providing services to the seaside community of Maningrida (520 km east of Darwin), with a population of approximately 3,500 people. These services include Primary Health Care, Aged & Community Care, Family & Community Wellness, Drugs & Alcohol Services. Mala’la Health Service provides Primary Health Care services to Maningrida and surrounding homelands under a Community Control model.
Essential Requirements
The role will see you working in a remote Aboriginal Community. All applicants must have an understanding of, and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the issues faced by Aboriginal people living in remote settings.

- Full working rights in Australia
- Relevant qualifications and or clearly demonstrated experience in high-level project management
- Demonstrated experience in strong community relationships in a remote, Indigenous Community context
- Demonstrated proficiency & competency in computer skills and working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Office Programs, Adobe, Canva
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check
- Current NT Working with Children Clearance OCHRE card
- Current Driver’s Licence & ability to drive manual vehicle
