One full time vacan­cy is avail­able, either ongo­ing or fixed for 2 years

Work­ing with­in an Edu­ca­tion Hub, you will pro­vide clin­i­cal lead­er­ship by coor­di­nat­ing edu­ca­tion, train­ing, and men­tor­ship for staff across a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team. You will pro­mote, devel­op and imple­ment clin­i­cal best prac­tice, in line with NT Health poli­cies and pro­ce­dures con­sis­tent with and com­pli­ment rel­e­vant NT Cor­rec­tion­al Ser­vice direc­tives and NT Police Watch House Orders at the Alice Springs Cor­rec­tion­al Cen­tre (ASCC) and Police Watch House (PWH).

This role sup­ports pri­ma­ry health care ser­vices in cor­rec­tion­al and remote set­tings, that oper­ate sev­en days per week, with poten­tial shift work require­ments. To be eli­gi­ble for the posi­tion you must be a reg­is­tered nurse hold­ing a cur­rent cer­tifi­cate of reg­is­tra­tion with the Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Australia. 

Whilst a post­grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tion is an essen­tial require­ment for ongo­ing appoint­ment to this vacan­cy, all appli­cants will be assessed. If the most suit­able appli­cant does not hold the qual­i­fi­ca­tion, they may be appoint­ed on a fixed basis with ongo­ing appoint­ment sub­ject to attain­ing the qual­i­fi­ca­tion dur­ing the fixed term. One vacan­cy is avail­able, either ongo­ing or fixed for 2 years.
