Are you a pas­sion­ate nurse look­ing to grow your career in oncol­o­gy? NT Health and Can­cer Coun­cil NT are seek­ing a ded­i­cat­ed Clin­i­cal Nurse Spe­cial­ist to pro­vide spe­cialised can­cer care at Kather­ine Hos­pi­tal and sup­port patients and fam­i­lies across the Big Rivers Region. This full-tie, 12-month fixed term role is per­fect for expe­ri­enced nurs­es or those moti­vat­ed to devel­op into an N4 spe­cial­ist role through as struc­tured learn­ing and devel­op­ment program. 

About the Role

In this joint­ly fund­ed posi­tion, you will:

• Deliv­er patient-cen­tred, evi­denced-based oncol­o­gy and haema­tol­ogy care
• Coor­di­nate Can­cer Coun­cil NT sup­port ser­vices, includ­ing coun­selling and psy­cho-social support
• Work along­side and men­tor less expe­ri­enced nurs­ing and mid­wifery staff
• Col­lab­o­rate with a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team to ensure high-qual­i­ty care across the region.

Kather­ine is a vibrant region­al hub with a pop­u­la­tion of approx­i­mate­ly 11,000, serv­ing a broad­er Big Rivers Region of 22,000. The area is rich in cul­ture, with strong con­nec­tions to the Jawoyn, War­der­man, and Dago­man peo­ples. The region offers a mul­ti­tude of out­door, camp­ing, fish­ing, four-wheel dri­ving, hik­ing, and moun­tain bik­ing activ­i­ties.
