The Role

Are you a ded­i­cat­ed and expe­ri­enced Reg­is­tered Nurse with a pas­sion for peri­op­er­a­tive care?
Port Lin­coln Hos­pi­tal is seek­ing enthu­si­as­tic pro­fes­sion­als to join our dynam­ic Pre-admis­sion and Out­pa­tient Ser­vices team with­in the Oper­at­ing The­atre envi­ron­ment. This is a fan­tas­tic oppor­tu­ni­ty to play a key role in deliv­er­ing high-qual­i­ty, patient-cen­tred sur­gi­cal care in a sup­port­ive and col­lab­o­ra­tive setting.

As a Reg­is­tered Nurse in the Pre-admis­sion and Out­pa­tient Ser­vices Depart­ment with­in the Oper­at­ing The­atre, you will play a vital role in deliv­er­ing high-qual­i­ty nurs­ing care in a dynam­ic sur­gi­cal envi­ron­ment. Your key respon­si­bil­i­ties will include:

  • Pro­vid­ing nurs­ing care in accor­dance with best prac­tices and reg­u­la­to­ry stan­dards, ensur­ing patient safe­ty and com­fort throughout.
  • Con­tin­u­ous­ly devel­op­ing your knowl­edge and skills, pro­gress­ing from novice to pro­fi­cient prac­tice through ongo­ing pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment and experience.
  • Accept­ing account­abil­i­ty for your own stan­dards of nurs­ing care and for activ­i­ties del­e­gat­ed to oth­ers, ensur­ing the high­est qual­i­ty of patient care at all times.
  • Pro­vide health pro­mo­tion and edu­ca­tion, to patients/​clients or groups and car­ers to improve the health out­comes of individual.

About You

  • You will be reg­is­tered or eli­gi­ble for reg­is­tra­tion as a Nurse or Nurse/​Midwife by the Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­tralia, and hold or be eli­gi­ble to hold a cur­rent prac­tic­ing certificate
  • You will have effec­tive com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills, includ­ing prob­lem solv­ing, con­flict res­o­lu­tion and nego­ti­a­tion skills
  • Abil­i­ty to work effec­tive­ly with­in a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team and pri­ori­tise work­loads, you will be cre­ative, inno­v­a­tive and flex­i­ble when approach­ing issues with­in a health­care setting.
  • Demon­strat­ed com­mit­ment to pro­vid­ing consumer/​client and fam­i­ly cen­tred care.
