About Us

CRANAplus ensure the deliv­ery of safe, high qual­i­ty pri­ma­ry health­care to remote and iso­lat­ed areas of Aus­tralia. We are an afford­able, grass­roots, not-for prof­it, mem­ber­ship based organ­i­sa­tion that has pro­vid­ed near­ly 40 years of edu­ca­tion, sup­port and pro­fes­sion­al ser­vices for the mul­ti-dis­­­ci­­pli­­nary remote health workforce.

About the Role

As a clin­i­cal edu­ca­tor with CRANAplus, you will lead and deliv­er high-qual­i­ty pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment oppor­tu­ni­ties for health pro­fes­sion­als, pre­dom­i­nant­ly nurs­es and mid­wives, in rur­al or remote com­mu­ni­ties across Australia.

Edu­ca­tion oppor­tu­ni­ties include on the ground deliv­ery, e‑learning and a range of mul­ti-modal resources cre­at­ed by CRANAplus for our mem­bers and wider community.

This role requires fre­quent trav­el for deliv­ery of cours­es with­in your home state and interstate.

Key respon­si­bil­i­ties include:

- Devel­op, coor­di­nate and deliv­er edu­ca­tion cours­es specif­i­cal­ly designed for health pro­fes­sion­als work­ing in remote, iso­lat­ed or rur­al settings.

- Deliv­er a range of work­shops, intrastate and inter­state, to accom­plish edu­ca­tion outcomes.

- Over­sight & coor­di­na­tion of cours­es, in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the CRANAplus Edu­ca­tion team.

- Ensure course mate­ri­als and resources are con­tex­tu­al­ly rel­e­vant and clin­i­cal­ly current.

- Col­lab­o­rate with our Equip­ment and Logis­tics team to ensure advance­ment of tech­nol­o­gy /​education equip­ment, as well as effec­tive main­te­nance applications.

- Deliv­er cours­es with­in your scope of prac­tice to achieve the required out­comes of our nation­al­ly recog­nised programs.

- Pre­pare course reports as required and con­tribute to facil­i­ta­tor newslet­ters, nation­al reports, or CRANAplus mag­a­zine articles.

- Liaise with oth­er edu­ca­tors to ensure com­mon themes are car­ried through all cours­es and online content.

- Sup­port vol­un­teer facil­i­ta­tor onboard­ing and ongo­ing engagement.

This role requires fre­quent trav­el for deliv­ery of cours­es with­in your home state and inter­state (approx­i­mate­ly 1 course per month). Course delivery/​travel is across both week­days and week­ends.

What we’re look­ing for

We are seek­ing a dynam­ic and ener­gised pro­fes­sion­al ready to join our Edu­ca­tion team and hit the ground running! 

  • AHPRA Reg­is­tered Nurse, Mid­wife, or rel­e­vant discipline.
  • Expe­ri­ence in adult edu­ca­tion deliv­ery and/​or Cer­tifi­cate IV in train­ing and assessment.
  • Must have expe­ri­ence in health and remote/​isolated set­tings, or a demon­strat­ed under­stand­ing and align­ment with CRANAplus’ core busi­ness and strate­gic vision.
  • Demon­strat­ed knowl­edge and appli­ca­tion of Cul­tur­al­ly Safe prac­tices, and the abil­i­ty to work respect­ful­ly, effec­tive­ly, and col­lab­o­ra­tive­ly with cul­tur­al­ly diverse communities.
  • Solu­tions-focused with the abil­i­ty to prob­lem solve on the go, an agile and pos­i­tive ener­gy, with strong engage­ment skills. 
  • Advanced Life Sup­port Assessor.
