CRANAplus ensure the delivery of safe, high quality primary healthcare to remote and isolated areas of Australia. We are an affordable, grassroots, not-for profit, membership based organisation that has provided nearly 40 years of education, support and professional services for the multi-disciplinary remote health workforce.
About the Role
As a clinical educator with CRANAplus, you will lead and deliver high-quality professional development opportunities for health professionals, predominantly nurses and midwives, in rural or remote communities across Australia.
Education opportunities include on the ground delivery, e‑learning and a range of multi-modal resources created by CRANAplus for our members and wider community.
This role requires frequent travel for delivery of courses within your home state and interstate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, coordinate and deliver education courses specifically designed for health professionals working in remote, isolated or rural settings.
- Deliver a range of workshops, intrastate and interstate, to accomplish education outcomes.
- Oversight & coordination of courses, in collaboration with the CRANAplus Education team.
- Ensure course materials and resources are contextually relevant and clinically current.
- Collaborate with our Equipment and Logistics team to ensure advancement of technology /education equipment, as well as effective maintenance applications.
- Deliver courses within your scope of practice to achieve the required outcomes of our nationally recognised programs.
- Prepare course reports as required and contribute to facilitator newsletters, national reports, or CRANAplus magazine articles.
- Liaise with other educators to ensure common themes are carried through all courses and online content.
- Support volunteer facilitator onboarding and ongoing engagement.
This role requires frequent travel for delivery of courses within your home state and interstate (approximately 1 course per month). Course delivery/travel is across both weekdays and weekends.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking a dynamic and energised professional ready to join our Education team and hit the ground running!
- AHPRA Registered Nurse, Midwife, or relevant discipline.
- Experience in adult education delivery and/or Certificate IV in training and assessment.
- Must have experience in health and remote/isolated settings, or a demonstrated understanding and alignment with CRANAplus’ core business and strategic vision.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of Culturally Safe practices, and the ability to work respectfully, effectively, and collaboratively with culturally diverse communities.
- Solutions-focused with the ability to problem solve on the go, an agile and positive energy, with strong engagement skills.
- Advanced Life Support Assessor.
