An oppor­tu­ni­ty exists for a tal­ent­ed and enthu­si­as­tic Clin­i­cal Nurse Spe­cial­ist to join the team at Bur­ringur­rah Nurs­ing post – Midwest.

To be suc­cess­ful, you will have:

  • Exten­sive clin­i­cal expe­ri­ence includ­ing assess­ment skills, emer­gency man­age­ment skills, clin­i­cal prob­lem solv­ing and under­stand­ing of chron­ic dis­ease management.
  • Knowl­edge and appli­ca­tion of pri­ma­ry health care prin­ci­ples and programs.
  • Abil­i­ty to work inde­pen­dent­ly or as part of a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team.
  • Effec­tive inter­per­son­al, ver­bal, and writ­ten com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills includ­ing prob­lem solv­ing and nego­ti­a­tion skills.
  • Under­stand­ing and com­mit­ment to cul­tur­al safe­ty and Indige­nous health issues.
  • Knowl­edge of leg­isla­tive and reg­u­la­to­ry require­ments in the areas of Equal Oppor­tu­ni­ty, Dis­abil­i­ty Ser­vices and Occu­pa­tion­al Safe­ty & Health, and how these impact on employ­ment, peo­ple man­age­ment and ser­vice delivery.

Posi­tion Pro­file: Respon­si­ble for the pro­vi­sion and coor­di­na­tion of pri­ma­ry health care to the Bur­ringur­rah com­mu­ni­ty. Includes the pro­vi­sion of Nurs­ing Ser­vices encom­pass­ing emer­gency care, chron­ic dis­ease man­age­ment, child health, immu­ni­sa­tion, health pro­mo­tion, and education.

This is an open-end­ed” recruit­ment pool, and as such the fol­low­ing should be noted:

  • The pan­el will mon­i­tor this recruit­ment pool for appli­ca­tions and will assess on a reg­u­lar basis.

Eli­gi­ble nurs­es and mid­wives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in sup­port over 12 months (WA Coun­try Health Ser­vice — Coun­try Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Incen­tive Pro­gram).
