Empowering ongoing career development

Our employment page links experienced RANs with new opportunities. Our face-to-face and online courses help to instil best practices in a remote context and are widely recognised by many organisations. Our free webinars refresh knowledge, cover diverse topics and fulfil CPD requirements. Our curated list of external training opportunities may also help. We recognise industry excellence by appointing CRANAplus Fellows and through our annual CRANAplus Awards.

Supporting your mental health

Our Bush Support Line offers free 24/7 psychological support to remote health professionals and their families. Our mental health resources, recommended links, and Mindful Monday newsletter may also assist. The CRANAplus annual conference keeps the workforce connected. We also encourage experienced remote area nurses to participate in our LINKS Remote and Rural Mentoring Program as mentors supporting students and new RANs who are seeking a career in remote health.

Advocating for our workforce

CRANAplus regularly contributes its stance on health policy and issues affecting isolated, rural and remote nurses and health professionals. We represent a remote perspective through position statements, media representation and submissions on public consultations. We frequently provide members with opportunities for input and we encourage experienced RANs to submit their insights on issues to professionalservices@crana.org.au.
