Pathway Incentives
CRANAplus maps the state-based and national pathways and incentives available to nurses and midwives of all experience levels.
The CRANAplus Pathway Incentives resource is a definitive guide to the scholarships, grants, programs and other career pathway support available to remote area nurses and midwives.
Launched in webpage format after completion in July 2021, the resource collates all available opportunities from around the country into one convenient, centralised database.
Opportunities are separated into their respective states and territories, and nationwide incentives have their own section. Within subpages, data is further broken down into career stages.

Why is this resource important?
This resource aims to increase awareness of opportunities and support for nurses and midwives, so that these initiatives can successfully reach their audience and achieve their goals.
Remote area nurses and midwives service vulnerable Australian communities, yet workforce shortages pose a challenge to redressing health inequality. By providing and promoting a centralised repository of opportunities, we aim to facilitate workforce growth and further establish remote area nursing as a specialty.
This resource also highlights shortcomings in incentivisation that could be redressed through the establishment of additional programs.
