Student Remote Travel and Accommodation Assistance (through Flinders Uni NT)

Financial Support for Placement (UniSA)
The UniSA Department of Rural Health can provide financial support to domestic allied health and nursing students undertaking a rural placement within the state for two weeks or longer, with increasing support for more remote locations. Find out more.

Transition to Professional Practice Program for Registered Nurses
Find out more about this SA Health Program. Regional information is available but is general in nature and there is no structured transition to rural/remote.
Continuing Professional Development
Health Workforce Scholarship Program (HWSP) (through Rural Doctors Workforce SA)
If you are an eligible health care professional working in primary health care in rural or remote South Australia, you can apply for a grant of up to $10,000 per year for up to two years to increase clinical skills and scope of practice through training or study. Examples of activities that are supported by this Program include post-graduate studies such as a post-graduate certificate, post-graduate diploma, Master or PhD, including on-line study and conferences, workshops, webinars, and courses, including on-line activities. Robyn Parkes Postgraduate Nursing Grant (UniSA)
The grant will be offered to external postgraduate nursing students (Master of Nursing and Graduate Certificate in Nursing) from rural or isolated areas who are enrolled full-time or part-time. The grant will provide financial assistance for the costs associated with undertaking postgraduate study. Find out more.
