Conference

Our conference spreads knowledge, celebrates excellence, and unites the dispersed remote health workforce

Since 1983, CRANAplus has held its annual conference to bond and unite the dispersed remote and isolated health workforce. The conference serves as an opportunity for like-minded remote and isolated health individuals to network, connect and share.

Held at a different location each year or undertaken online, the event brings together health practitioners, managers, government representatives, policy makers, academics and students into an energetic social forum.

Built around a series of high quality presentations, it provides the ideal platform for recognising the outstanding contributions of health professionals through CRANAplus awards and fellowships. Discover past award winners.

2026 Remote Nursing & Midwifery Conference

New date: the annual CRANAplus conference has been moved from October 2025 to May 2026 and will be held in the same host city, Perth.

Join us from 11-13 May, 2026, in beautiful Boorloo/Perth, on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Nyoongar people, for the CRANAplus Remote Nursing & Midwifery Conference to connect, learn, and celebrate our dedicated workers in remote healthcare.

The 42nd annual CRANAplus conference, which has been traditionally convened in October, will now be moved to 2026 and held earlier in the calendar year to give more Members the chance to attend and avoid conflict with other health events.

Although the timing of the annual conference has changed, the chance to experience our exciting line-up of speakers, abstract presentations, expo and valuable networking opportunities remains unchanged. The 2026 conference theme — Distance. Dedication. Difference. The future of remote health — remains focused on the vital role of remote health professionals in shaping Australian healthcare. And, as always, we will close the conference honouring and celebrating innovation and excellence in remote healthcare at the CRANAplus Awards event.
