The Primary & Population Health Centre Manager will provide effective and sustainable management of all Milingimbi Primary and Population Health Centre operations including determining, developing, and implementing strategies to manage gaps and risks associated with all aspects of both operational and clinical services.

The Pri­ma­ry & Pop­u­la­tion Health Cen­tre Man­ag­er will pro­vide effec­tive and sus­tain­able man­age­ment of all Milingim­bi Pri­ma­ry and Pop­u­la­tion Health Cen­tre oper­a­tions includ­ing deter­min­ing, devel­op­ing, and imple­ment­ing strate­gies to man­age gaps and risks asso­ci­at­ed with all aspects of both oper­a­tional and clin­i­cal ser­vices. The man­ag­er will sup­port the Direc­tor of Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery (DONM) to imple­ment strate­gic direc­tions, con­tem­po­rary mod­els of care and con­tin­u­ous qual­i­ty improve­ment activ­i­ties with a fo health­care to a rich­ly diverse com­mu­ni­ty. cus on change man­age­ment, ser­vice inte­gra­tion and com­mu­ni­ty engage­ment. This role is respon­si­ble for clin­i­cal lead­er­ship, oper­a­tions, per­for­mance, and con­tin­u­ous qual­i­ty improve­ment whilst work­ing with­in a cul­tur­al­ly safe framework.

Essen­tial Requirements

The ide­al can­di­date must have an under­stand­ing of and com­mit­ment to Abo­rig­i­nal Com­mu­ni­ty Con­trol and self-deter­mi­na­tion; An under­stand­ing of the issues faced by Yol­ngu peo­ple liv­ing in remote set­tings; Knowl­edge and expe­ri­ence work­ing in an Abo­rig­i­nal Com­mu­ni­ty Con­trolled Health Ser­vices; Demon­strat­ed abil­i­ty to pro­vide effec­tive high-lev­el lead­er­ship, man­age­ment and organ­i­sa­tion­al skills includ­ing a high lev­el of com­pre­hen­sive ana­lyt­i­cal and prob­lem-solv­ing skills to ensure effec­tive clin­i­cal and pro­gram man­age­ment; Min­i­mum of 5 years’ expe­ri­ence as a Reg­is­tered Nurse/​Health Pro­fes­sion­al /​Practice Man­ag­er and in a sim­i­lar role with a sim­i­lar com­mu­ni­ty pop­u­la­tion demo­graph­ic and ser­vice profile.
