Nurse Mental Health Resources Coordinator

Provide sound professional advice critical in dealing with significant issues related to assessment, planning, review, evaluation, and coordination of service delivery in defined practice area.

The Resource Coor­di­na­tor is piv­otal in ensur­ing the pro­vi­sion of safe and high-qual­i­ty care while adher­ing to the stan­dards set by NT Health. 

This role involves ros­ter man­age­ment, inter­im riskman review, orientation/​education to new staff/​agency staff and stu­dents, con­tribut­ing to the devel­op­ment of poli­cies and guide­lines, com­pli­ance check for the activ­i­ty based fund­ing and liais­ing with exter­nal stake­hold­ers and con­tribut­ing to ser­vice improve­ment. Col­lab­o­ra­tion with Team Man­ag­er to ensure that the team is main­tain­ing the qual­i­ty and safe­ty requirement. 

The suc­cess­ful appli­cant must pos­sess clin­i­cal skills to sup­port the team dur­ing times of height­ened demand and must hold a recog­nised men­tal health qual­i­fi­ca­tion and meet the autho­rised stan­dards required of a Des­ig­nat­ed Men­tal Health Prac­ti­tion­er in accor­dance with the NT Men­tal Health and Relat­ed Ser­vices Act (1998).

Job Role

  1. Pro­vide con­tem­po­rary human, mate­r­i­al, and finan­cial resource man­age­ment for defined area of practice. 
  2. Sup­port deliv­ery of excel­lence in nursing/​midwifery care by mod­el­ling advanced knowl­edge, skills, and behav­iours for the pro­vi­sion of client care and facil­i­tat­ing less expe­ri­enced staff to devel­op appro­pri­ate skills, knowl­edge, abil­i­ties, and attitudes.
  3. Demon­strate NTH val­ues — safe; respon­sive; kind – in all deci­sion-mak­ing and inter­ac­tions with con­sumers and colleagues 
  4. Fol­low defined ser­vice qual­i­ty stan­dards, work health and safe­ty poli­cies and pro­ce­dures relat­ing to the work being under­tak­en in order to ensure high qual­i­ty, safe ser­vices and workplaces.
  5. Fos­ter a pos­i­tive work­place cul­ture through exem­plary lead­er­ship prac­tices and role mod­el­ling behaviour.
