The Department of Health are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join their team working across the North West Coast.

With­in a pri­ma­ry health care frame­work and in accor­dance with Agency pol­i­cy and pro­ce­dures the Nurse Prac­ti­tion­er (NP) is respon­si­ble, with­in the defined scope of prac­tice, for high lev­el clin­i­cal lead­er­ship in the devel­op­ment, pro­vi­sion and eval­u­a­tion of the Com­mu­ni­ty Rapid Response Ser­vice (Com­RRS) with­in Com­mu­ni­ty Health Nurs­ing Ser­vice North West that ensures opti­mal patient/​client/​family and com­mu­ni­ty outcomes.

The NP is respon­si­ble for eval­u­at­ing and imple­ment­ing changes to clin­i­cal prac­tice, ini­ti­at­ing research and qual­i­ty improve­ment activ­i­ties and will act as a leader, advi­sor and men­tor for oth­er nurs­es and clin­i­cians to ensure high lev­el clin­i­cal excel­lence in the field of chron­ic, com­plex care.

The Team:

Con­sist­ing of Nurse Prac­ti­tion­ers, Clin­i­cal Nurse Con­sul­tant, Clin­i­cal Nurse Spe­cial­ists and Reg­is­tered Nurs­es, the Com­RRS NW is a com­mu­ni­ty-based ser­vice designed to help clients avoid hos­pi­tals by col­lab­o­rat­ing close­ly with their GPs to pro­vide essen­tial care in the home. Led by Nurse Prac­ti­tion­ers (NP), the ser­vice oper­ates sev­en days a week for 0730 – 2130, deliv­er­ing time­ly, com­plex, and client-cen­tered care through­out the North West Coast of Tasmania.

Details of appointment:

Per­ma­nent, part time, shift work­er posi­tion, work­ing 32 hours per fort­night, com­menc­ing from Decem­ber 2024.

Salary: $139,948 pro rata, per annum. Our Employ­er 11.5% super­an­nu­a­tion con­tri­bu­tion is on top of this amount.

Allowance

You’ll have access to salary pack­age a range of ben­e­fits includ­ing liv­ing expens­es up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal enter­tain­ment each FBT year + oth­er ben­e­fits if eligible. 

In addi­tion, the fol­low­ing allowances cal­cu­lat­ed on the salaried incre­men­tal point may be available: 

  • Post Grad­u­ate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qual­i­fi­ca­tion type
