We are seeking a Nursing Director to be responsible for the efficient and effective implementation of leading and delivering outcomes for organisational leadership development, workforce management, people development and cultural improvement programs across Hospitals North West.

The Role:

The Nurs­ing Direc­tor is respon­si­ble for the effi­cient and effec­tive imple­men­ta­tion of lead­ing and deliv­er­ing out­comes for organ­i­sa­tion­al lead­er­ship devel­op­ment, work­force man­age­ment, peo­ple devel­op­ment and cul­tur­al improve­ment pro­grams across Hos­pi­tals North West using the Path­way to Excel­lence frame­work to achieve the high­est lev­els of safe­ty, qual­i­ty, patient and staff satisfaction.

The Team:

Work­ing with like-mind­ed nurs­ing and mid­wifery pro­fes­sion­als, the Nurs­ing Direc­tor Excel­lence in Care and Cul­ture will lead, fos­ter and sup­port a cul­ture aligned with the Depart­ment of Health val­ues of Com­pas­sion, Account­abil­i­ty, Respect and Excel­lence that over­ar­ch the Hos­pi­tal and Pri­ma­ry Care Our Peo­ple Our Place Our Pur­pose frame­work prin­ci­ples that guide and dri­ve out­comes for our staff and our com­mu­ni­ties. As part of the Exec­u­tive Direc­tor of Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Office, and work­ing col­lab­o­ra­tive­ly with the Hos­pi­tals North West Exec­u­tive lead­er­ship team, this role has a direct and sig­nif­i­cant impact on Hos­pi­tals and Pri­ma­ry Care North West outcomes.

Details of appointment:

Per­ma­nent, full time, day work­er (with on-call) posi­tion, work­ing up to 76 hours per fort­night, com­menc­ing from 2 Decem­ber 2024.

Appli­cants should note that, for a peri­od of twelve months from the date of pub­li­ca­tion, this selec­tion process may be used to fill sub­se­quent or sim­i­lar full time, part time, and casu­al vacancies.

Salary: $134,445 per annum. Our Employ­er 11.5% super­an­nu­a­tion con­tri­bu­tion is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accor­dance with Nurs­es and Mid­wives (Tas­man­ian State Ser­vice) Agree­ment 2023 and Nurs­es and Mid­wives (Tas­man­ian State Ser­vice) Inter­im Agree­ment 2013
