Nestled in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, this reputable and vibrant aged care organisation provides exceptional aged care services across residential, community and retirement villages
Role Overview:
The Procurement Officer will play a key role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts with suppliers, ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services without compromising on quality. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining smooth operations within our aged care facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to the aged care sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast procurement needs.
- Manage procurement records and analyse data for budgeting and decision-making purposes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
- Qualification in a related field to Procurement
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role, preferably in aged care, healthcare, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of contract management, e‑procurement, and online marketplace system
- Familiar with the aged care quality standards would be desirable
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
- Australian Drivers Licence
