Red Lily Health Ser­vice is seek­ing an enthu­si­as­tic Social Emo­tion­al Well­be­ing (SEWB) Pro­gram Coor­di­na­tor to lead and pro­vide essen­tial SEWB ser­vices across West Arn­hem Land. This role is an oppor­tu­ni­ty to deliv­er cul­tur­al­ly sen­si­tive men­tal health care and fos­ter well-being for Abo­rig­i­nal and Tor­res Strait Islander peo­ple through a holis­tic, com­mu­ni­ty-cen­tered approach.

About the Role

As the SEWB Pro­gram Coor­di­na­tor, you will play a cru­cial role in sup­port­ing indi­vid­u­als, fam­i­lies, and com­mu­ni­ties fac­ing a range of chal­lenges, includ­ing men­tal health issues, domes­tic vio­lence, alco­hol and oth­er drug (AOD) mis­use, and mul­ti-gen­er­a­tional trau­ma. Key respon­si­bil­i­ties include: 

  • Pro­vid­ing psy­cho­log­i­cal assess­ments and ther­a­peu­tic ser­vices to clients across Red Lily’s ser­vice areas.
  • Trav­el­ing to remote com­mu­ni­ties to deliv­er on-the-ground sup­port and strength­en local SEWB initiatives.
  • Case man­ag­ing clients and coor­di­nat­ing with ser­vice providers for com­pre­hen­sive, inte­grat­ed care.
  • Devel­op­ing refer­ral path­ways to ensure clients have access to need­ed resources and support.

You will work along­side a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary clin­i­cal team and expe­ri­enced cor­po­rate staff to achieve bet­ter out­comes in ear­ly inter­ven­tion, treat­ment, and men­tal health and AOD management.

About You

The suc­cess­ful can­di­date will have:

  • Rel­e­vant qual­i­fi­ca­tions as a psy­chol­o­gist and expe­ri­ence in men­tal health, trau­ma, AOD, or domes­tic vio­lence care.
  • Strong case man­age­ment skills with a focus on cul­tur­al sen­si­tiv­i­ty and Indige­nous health.
  • A will­ing­ness to trav­el to remote com­mu­ni­ties and work direct­ly in com­mu­ni­ty settings.
  • A col­lab­o­ra­tive mind­set and abil­i­ty to work with­in a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team to achieve holis­tic outcomes.
