A Registered Nurse for the Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home-visiting (MECSH) Program, you will play a vital role in implementing and delivering the MECSH program according to its established schedule.

A Reg­is­tered Nurse for the Mater­nal Ear­ly Child­hood Sus­tained Home-vis­it­ing (MEC­SH) Pro­gram, you will play a vital role in imple­ment­ing and deliv­er­ing the MEC­SH pro­gram accord­ing to its estab­lished sched­ule. Your respon­si­bil­i­ties will include pro­vid­ing com­pre­hen­sive assess­ment, screen­ing, and sup­port to vul­ner­a­ble and at-risk moth­ers, fam­i­lies, and car­ers with chil­dren up to the age of 3 years. Addi­tion­al­ly, you will offer advice and refer­ral ser­vices to ensure the well-being and devel­op­ment of these fam­i­lies. This is a full-time fixed term role until 01 Octo­ber 2025.

Essen­tial Requirements

This role will see you work­ing in a remote Abo­rig­i­nal com­mu­ni­ty. All appli­cants must have an under­stand­ing and com­mit­ment to Abo­rig­i­nal Com­mu­ni­ty Con­trol, self-deter­mi­na­tion, and the issues faced by Yolŋu peo­ple liv­ing in remote set­tings.
