We are searching for a Registered Nurse to provide acute care within a medical unit of an organisation for individuals affected by alcohol and other drug dependencies.

About the Role

This role requires a Reg­is­tered Nurse with a ver­sa­tile skill set and an under­stand­ing of men­tal health and addic­tion to join our med­ical unit. In this role, you will sup­port the health and med­ical needs of indi­vid­u­als fac­ing sub­stance abuse, addic­tion, and men­tal health chal­lenges. Respon­si­bil­i­ties include pro­vid­ing ad hoc care, assist­ing with pri­ma­ry health­care tasks, and offer­ing with­draw­al man­age­ment support.

This oppor­tu­ni­ty will require you to:
• Pro­vide essen­tial health­care sup­port to res­i­dents with­in the med­ical unit
• Deliv­er ad hoc care and col­lab­o­rate with GPs to admin­is­ter pri­ma­ry health services
• Offer with­draw­al man­age­ment sup­port at our inpa­tient med­ical unit

Skills and Requirements
• Full AHPRA registration
• Com­plete rights to live and work in Australia
• Min­i­mum 3 years acute nurs­ing experience
• Demon­strat­ed abil­i­ty to adept­ly nav­i­gate the com­plex med­ical chal­lenges asso­ci­at­ed with alco­hol and drug dependencies
• Desir­able qual­i­fi­ca­tions include expe­ri­ence in one or more of the fol­low­ing: work­ing with peo­ple with AoD depen­den­cies, men­tal health nurs­ing, com­mu­ni­ty nurs­ing, or expe­ri­ence with­in a non-gov­ern­ment AoD treat­ment program
