We are searching for a Registered Nurse to provide acute care within a medical unit of an organisation for individuals affected by alcohol and other drug dependencies.

About the Role
This role requires a Registered Nurse with a versatile skill set and an understanding of mental health and addiction to join our medical unit. In this role, you will support the health and medical needs of individuals facing substance abuse, addiction, and mental health challenges. Responsibilities include providing ad hoc care, assisting with primary healthcare tasks, and offering withdrawal management support.
This opportunity will require you to:
• Provide essential healthcare support to residents within the medical unit
• Deliver ad hoc care and collaborate with GPs to administer primary health services
• Offer withdrawal management support at our inpatient medical unit

Skills and Requirements
• Full AHPRA registration
• Complete rights to live and work in Australia
• Minimum 3 years acute nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to adeptly navigate the complex medical challenges associated with alcohol and drug dependencies
• Desirable qualifications include experience in one or more of the following: working with people with AoD dependencies, mental health nursing, community nursing, or experience within a non-government AoD treatment program
