The NWHHS Community Palliative Care team provides comprehensive and compassionate care to address Palliative Care needs for clients and their families living in the Northwest region.

  • Loca­tion: Mount Isa
  • Remu­ner­a­tion: $75,090 — $103,261 per annum (Base Salary)
  • Per­ma­nent full-time role avail­able, 76 hours per fortnight.

Work­ing with us

  • Base salary ranges between $75,090 — $103,261 per annum (HWF3).
  • For 1 year will get you an iso­la­tion bonus of AUD$3,500. If you stay for 2 years you will get AUD$10,500… and for your 3rd year (and every year after that) you will get AUD$7,000.
  • Pro­vid­ing 2 return air­fares p.a. (inc. spouse/​dependents) to the near­est east coast provin­cial city in con­junc­tion with your recre­ation leave.

About the role

The NWHHS Com­mu­ni­ty Pal­lia­tive Care team pro­vides com­pre­hen­sive and com­pas­sion­ate care to address Pal­lia­tive Care needs for clients and their fam­i­lies liv­ing in the North­west region.

Pro­vide a cul­tur­al­ly respon­sive pri­ma­ry health­care ser­vice to Abo­rig­i­nal and Tor­res Strait Islander peo­ple and their families.

Assist clients by act­ing in a liai­son and sup­port role to ensure that they under­stand and can active­ly par­tic­i­pate in their own health care.

Require­ments

  • Under s25 of the Anti-Dis­crim­i­na­tion Act 1991 (Qld), there is a gen­uine occu­pa­tion­al require­ment for the incum­bent to be Indige­nous to the Abo­rig­i­nal or Tor­res Strait Islander Community.
  • Cer­tifi­cate IV in Abo­rig­i­nal and/​or Tor­res Strait Islander Pri­ma­ry Health; or Diplo­ma of Abo­rig­i­nal and/​or Tor­res Strait Islander Pri­ma­ry Health Care (Appli­cants who do not hold the manda­to­ry qual­i­fi­ca­tion require­ments, and will com­mit to com­plet­ing the qualification(s) with­in an agreed time­frame, are encour­aged to apply for this vacan­cy). Please refer to the Role Descrip­tion for fur­ther infor­ma­tion regard­ing the qual­i­fi­ca­tions and requirements.
  • C Class Motor Vehi­cle Licence.
