Seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) who is an experienced nurse within the defined area of practice.

  • Nurse led Out­pa­tient clin­i­cal environment
  • Excel­lent preceptor/​mentor envi­ron­ment to advance to Spe­cial­ist Renal Nursing
  • Great work life bal­ance; open 6 days a week Mon­day to Sat­ur­day, inclu­sive of morn­ing and after­noon shifts

The Role:

The Asso­ciate Nurse Unit Man­ag­er (ANUM) is an expe­ri­enced nurse who, with­in the defined area of practice:

  • works in part­ner­ship with the NUM and oth­er senior staff, to ensure the effi­cient and effec­tive pro­vi­sion of care based on best prac­tice prin­ci­ples with­in a col­lab­o­ra­tive and mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary framework.
  • assists the NUM with the plan­ning and man­age­ment of staff and resources and pro­vides oper­a­tional lead­er­ship through the coor­di­na­tion of the day to day patient care activ­i­ties, includ­ing patient flow.

The ANUM is account­able for own prac­tice stan­dards and acts as a role mod­el and men­tor for all staff and encour­ages and sup­ports staff to devel­op their skills and knowledge.

Com­ply at all times with THS pol­i­cy and pro­to­col require­ments, in par­tic­u­lar those relat­ing to manda­to­ry edu­ca­tion, train­ing and assessment.

Addi­tion­al­ly, it pro­vides com­mu­ni­ty health, men­tal health, and pri­ma­ry health­care ser­vices to the Tas­man­ian com­mu­ni­ty through more than 300 sites.

Details of appointment:

Per­ma­nent full time shift work­er posi­tion, work­ing up to 76 hours per fort­night, com­menc­ing as soon as we can onboard you.

*notwith­stand­ing hours to be nego­ti­at­ed with the suc­cess­ful applicant.

Appli­cants should note that, for a peri­od of twelve months from the date of pub­li­ca­tion, this selec­tion process may be used to fill sub­se­quent or sim­i­lar full time, part time, and casu­al vacancies.

Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum. Our Employ­er 11.5% super­an­nu­a­tion con­tri­bu­tion is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accor­dance with Nurs­es and Mid­wives (Tas­ma­nia State Ser­vice) Agree­ment 2023.

In addi­tion, the fol­low­ing allowances cal­cu­lat­ed on the salaried incre­men­tal point may be available:

  • Post Grad­u­ate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qual­i­fi­ca­tion type 

Salary Pack­ag­ing:

You’ll have access to salary pack­age a range of ben­e­fits includ­ing liv­ing expens­es up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal enter­tain­ment each FBT year + oth­er ben­e­fits if eligible.

Ben­e­fits avail­able to eli­gi­ble candidates:

  • Pay­ment of $15,000 staged over three years is avail­able for Nurs­es and Mid­wives who move to Tas­ma­nia from inter­state and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relo­ca­tion allowance already available.
  • Trav­el and relo­ca­tion assis­tance sup­port avail­able up to $15,000 for eli­gi­ble appointees from over­seas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate. 
  • Pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment and accel­er­at­ed pathways.
  • A range of leave enti­tle­ments, includ­ing study leave and Pro­fes­sion­al Devel­op­ment Support.
  • Fit­ness Pass­port – You, and your fam­i­ly can access 40+ fit­ness facil­i­ties across Tas­ma­nia for just $13.95 per week per per­son, or $25.95 for a family.

Eli­gi­bil­i­ty:

Suc­cess­ful appli­cants will be required to meet the essen­tial criteria:

  • Reg­is­tered with the Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­tralia as a Reg­is­tered Nurse

  • Holds, or is work­ing towards, rel­e­vant post­grad­u­ate qualifications
